Established in 2002, Hoang Lien National Park is one of the most important national parks in Vietnam. It is located at an altitude of 1.000 to 3.000 meters above sea level. With a total area of more than 29.000 ha, it consists of a high mountain system of the Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range, including the Fansipan Mount at 3.143 meters high. It is a mainly primitive forest with a system of diverse and rich flora and fauna that becomes the most biodiversity-rich center in national parks in Vietnam.

Take an easy trek on a good path for a few hours, with plenty of time to admire the scenery and learn about the Black H’mong people, the area’s largest ethnic group. Then continue the transfer deeper into the valley and cross the beautiful Muong Bo River before reaching Thanh Phu village of Tay minority.
