Sapa Mountains Retreat
Start your journey to explore the Sapa mountains with a trip to Muong Hoa Valley to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Admire stunning terraced rice fields while departing for Hoang Lien National Park. The Sapa mountains tour ends with a bicycle trip to Lech village and then learn about the art of embroidery.

Sapa Mountain Retreat

Day 1: Hanoi – Sapa – Giang Ta Chai (L)

Day 1. Hanoi – Sapa (Lunch)
In the morning, travel from Hanoi to Sapa by highway with a 5-hour drive. On arrival at noon, have lunch at a local restaurant.
Walk from Sapa toward Muong Hoa Valley, one of the most popular and attractive destinations in Sapa, especially for tourists who are looking for adventure. Coming here, tourists will be fascinated by the charming beauty of this valley, which is also home to many ethnic minorities and many wonderful natural beauties. Trek across a suspension bridge towards the villages of Zay and Giang Ta Chai, visiting the home of the Red Dzao minority group.
Afterward, return to Sapa Town and free time at leisure to discover the town or enjoy a Red Dzao traditional herbal bath.
Overnight in Sapa.
Day 2. Sapa – Nam Cang – Topas Riverside Lodge (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, leave Sapa town behind and head off into the beautiful Hoang Lien National Park by car. Established in 2002, Hoang Lien National Park is one of the most important national parks in Vietnam. It is located at an altitude of 1.000 to 3.000 meters above sea level. With a total area of more than 29.000 ha, it consists of a high mountain system of the Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range, including the Fansipan Mount at 3.143 meters high. It is a mainly primitive forest with a system of diverse and rich flora and fauna that becomes the most biodiversity-rich center in national parks in Vietnam.
Take an easy trek on a good path for a few hours, with plenty of time to admire the scenery and learn about the Black H’mong people, the area’s largest ethnic group. Then continue the transfer deeper into the valley and cross the beautiful Muong Bo River before reaching Thanh Phu village of Tay minority.
Lunch will be served next to the rice fields in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, arrive in Nam Cang, the most remote region of Sapa district, situated 36 km from Sapa town. The village is inhabited by the Red Dzao and Black Hmong minority people. Walk along the small roads and village paths to get a true ‘off-the-beaten-trail’ experience.
Finally, cross a private bridge and check into the room in the rustic but charming Topas Riverside Lodge and take time to explore the village or relax in the river or at the riverside veranda.

Day 3. Nam Cang – Topas Ecolodge (Breakfast/Lunch)
Start the morning with a stroll across the beautiful nearby valley. Walking along the river and later exploring the local forest famous for its cardamom. On the way back, visit one of the small houses of remote-located Red Dzao families.
Arrive back at Topas Riverside Lodge for check out and lunch.
In the afternoon, transfer to the spectacularly located Topas Ecolodge. Surrounded by rice terraces, rolling hills, green forests and villages, Topas Ecolodge Sapa is a Danish-owned boutique property situated atop two conical hills deep in the mountains of Hoang Lien National Park, 45 minutes’ drive from Sapa in northern Vietnam. This lodge has perhaps the most breathtaking location and finest views of any in Vietnam.
Dinner and overnight in Topas Ecolodge.
Day 4. Topas Ecolodge – Ha Noi (Breakfast/Lunch)
After breakfast, enjoy a biking tour to Lech village of the Red Dzao minority, observing the magnificent valley view on the way. Here, leave the bikes and take a short walk on the dirt road to visit a traditional Red Dzao family to experience the culture of the minority villagers who are living peacefully in the same way as their ancestors. Next take a further ride to the new Lech Village, with a longer break to learn how the women in their doorways are doing their exquisite embroidery, which the Red Dzao people are very famous for.
From the village, head back to the Lodge. Check-out and head back to Sapa town for lunch.
Take a private transfer from Sapa to Hanoi and arrive in the late evening.
