Visiting Hoa Lu was the ancient capital of Vietnam more than a thousand years ago. You will challenge your health by climbing to the top of Mua Cave to take overall great photos of the entire Tam Coc area before cruising along a small river by sampan boat and admiring Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, which is recognized by UNESCO as a world natural heritage.
This morning, our guide will take you more than 1 hour to Ninh Binh to visit Hoa Lu, which was chosen to be the first capital of Dai Co Viet during the period of 3 dynasties of Kings Ding, Le and Ly. Since the King Ly Thai To moved it to Thang Long (Ha Noi today) Hoa Lu became an ancient capital which maintained many ancient temples and relic sites.
Continuing your journey to Mua Cave, you will be immersed in the wonderful scenery of mountains, valleys, and rivers. Mua Caves, located inside Ngoa Long Mountain, have been the go-to destination for shutterbugs. Mua Caves are usually featured as the best Ninh Binh caves for their prime location at the center of the Trang An Landscape Complex. You will climb hundreds of steps to the top of Mua Cave, have breathtaking views from the top of Mua Cave, and take overall great photos of the entire Tam Coc area.
After having lunch at a local restaurant, visit the nearby Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, which is recognized by UNESCO as a world natural heritage site. Cruising along a small river by sampan boat and admiring the mountains with green fields – known as “Ha Long on the Land”.
Stop there; you will be back by car to return to Hanoi in the late afternoon.
